I couldn't get my heater blower running cold in the summer so I adjusted the heater valve to close hard against the stop. I did this by removing my radio and slacking off t6he outer cable clamp screw and sliding the outer cable along a bit. During that cold snap I couldn't get enough heat so now I have moved it bach so the valve hits the fully open stop. It is a bit his and miss so I guess you could get it just right. It was suggested that I should drop the sparee wheel carrier and adjust it from under there at the actual valve but I coudn't be asked in this weather. I was sure it was the stat or an air lock but feeling the pipes hot gave me the clue. It blows nice and warm now. Have a think about it. :ok

Having bled the radiator and only got a small amount of air out, the van was still fookin freezing and not getting much above the bottom of the temp gauge, so today I decided to pop a new thermostat in. What a difference, now gauge gets upto temperature within a mile or so and the heater actually delivers heat. Not bad for an £8 fix.
