from a Vauxhall corsa?
I've driven the current corsa and it had horible steering! Wouldn't want any of my vehicles to have overly light feelless steering like that!
Interesting that whilst the BMW 5 series has some fancy electromechanical steering systems in it, M power threw the lot in the bin and fitted an old fassioned Hydrolic setup to the M5 - wonder why? They wanted something that handles well outside the relms of a tescos carpark.

I agree with some of that but the modern vw electro hydraulics pumps are outstanding and have no effect on feel, multispeed pump that never gets it wrong. Its the systems with motor assisted collums that are just wrong

Might well be but never been questioned about it. I've gone through three MOTs with it on. My right arm is weaker then the left through a tendon problem and its most definately easier to park and manouveur with it fitted. In fact the MOT guy used it to drive it into the workshop.
