Come on, just what point are you trying to make, and to what purpose. Why is it that you (like?) drive a VW and slag off the flat four, that created, paid for, paved the way for your cherished Doka.

There was no imposter was there.

What slagging off of a flat four have I done?
Whoever has visited us can well recite that there is a prominent photo in our house showing our old 2l bay. (Oh and sold our bay back to Germany, when we realised the children were preventing us from using it)
I have never had a problem with them, actually never personally stated that. I have driven all over Europe fully loaded in my old bay and never had a problem.
Did I STATE there was a problem?

Yep cherished doka,

Imposter? Give it up, move on.

£550 for engine ETC, then a rebuild another £1000 (if you are going to do, right.)

Then all the Bits £1500
Then getting it fitted £600? (I have never played with a flat 4 before only A series engines)

Thats £3650

Or £1700 for a rebuilt WBX engine + Turbo = less than £3650 without any major hassle (fingers crossed).

It definately did blow up the engines more quickly, same as any engine except a chosen few, like the 1.8T which is good for 300bhp with no mods required. It looks like VW gave a 12months guarentee on it if converted when new.

Turbobus...
105kw and 272nm of torque.

Great fun for 10,000miles.

If you intercooled that, it would be something, and way cool.
