Good luck with cutting the panels off. Be nice to see how you get on with the repairs.

I'm taking loads of photos of ours.

well i have most of the interior out now and looking very sorry for itself.till i find the panles i've thrown the bumper and grill back on whilst i use it to ferry parts.took it to work and back yesterday to check cooling and ran well.on the way home could smell something getting a tad hot and when i got home i checked the bay and underneath to find a steady stream of oil coming from my rocker gaskets!!!!grrrrrr. seems i need to replace two push rod tubes, may aswell do both gasket and ticker with the timing afterwards.vans going nowhere fast for a while now.undecided what to do with my interior now.

Could strengthen and replace current setup just replace a few upright panels that broke and keep the rear cupboards or have a play and change it a bit.hmmmmm decisions.

mechanicals first though, then panels then i think interior last.

will post some pics as soon as i can get them off my stupid iphone

I know of someone in Bournemouth who is breaking a 25. Think the front panel is ok, don't know whether it's a/c or w/c cooled though. You would need to contact Gary at Cool Campers as it's the bloke in the unit next to him whose breaking it.

Can pm you Gary's mobile number if you want it

also managed to get the speedo and dash lights working now. seems the speedo wasnt working due to the crash knocking the speedo cable out of the back of the dial.seems the ribbon was knackered on the unit so salvaged another from the scrappy and they are now working, need cleaning up a bit as they arent very bright.

not bad going:

Rad
Fan
Dial cluster
Rad mounts
Pipes

all for £30!!! nice one

In reply to another thread schofields are doing what they call a lower front repair panel. They are a little quick to reply with a no when asking for "lower fro"........... "NO SORRY"......."uh lower front repair".."oh yes we do that one." that was the way my conversation went.

the lower front repair just joing the bumper section to the lower front panel is 47.00+ delivery and has had good reports.

This is no resolution to the lack of lower front panel but might make one that has been salvaged or cut off a scrapper fit a little better

Scary the way that chipboard snapped, my dad always insisted on using ply in his vans I can see why now - I wouldn't want that wardrobe hitting me in the back of the head at high speed.

yeah a little scary. what did it was the huge battery in the storage area behind it travel at high speed along its way through the van taking with it some folding chairs and a toolkit.luckily or unluckily it found the cupboard and a dvd player!

the inspiration on youtube is wicked. chip is up and progress shall hopefully follow.

just trying to build the confidence to tackle the two push rod tube seal replacements and the leaking gaskets then bodywork here i come.

unsure of what to do with the interior now though????hmmmm

and may decide on a complete colour change

ohhhhhh the options!
