High top diving is not a sport - Daughter overboard as it were, our eldest (8) a notorious fidgeter and wriggler, managed to get over an 8inch solid board while we were away, she built up pillows sleeping bag etc into a nice ramp then weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee .. In her sleep I add.
Argos , mothercare etc do 'Bed sides' with various fitting depending on your top beds shape. We couldn't find one to fit our top bed but Van is a homebrew. Garden centres do trellis (worked for us while away in an emergency but then I'm not sleeping in the high top) but eventually we settled on a cargo net, for ease storage etc
