I was looking at the same before the summer but found I could fill the blowing hole with a great smear of exhaust gum (bit like filler) - I have had to reapply once over the last 3k miles so am eking out a bit more from my mild steel wonder.......
very interested in how you get on - looks like another winter jobby for me.

That fix (bodge) will last longer if you cover the Exhaust Gum with a Jubilee clip.

After getting the exhaust and bolts/studs off my old van we replaced them all with brass studs and brass nuts. They will never rust!

so that you can remove the exhaust as a whole peice. I welded my exhaust instead of braking the camper some more.
