Blackdog - Ta for that, going to Wiki some of this, the section needs extending.
I'd try a fine but open bristle brass brush, and then some No-Crode or bulb-grease on each terminal, if they're totallly disappeared! Some use Waxoyl fairly librerally in areas like that.
