Hi,
Watery oil solved, the out come is that after every oil change during the last 2 weeks there has been a problem with the van.Firstly was the 2.1DJ engine going ti** up at the Pickering meet;and this week the 1.9DG going nearly the same

.Ian has checked everything including the petrol pump and there is no contamination between oil and petrol.
The conclusion is that the oil Ian was using was breaking down to quickly i.e 100miles because all the oil came from the same barrel (bloody Freebies

)So tomorrow the van hopefully WILL be running again after the oil pump has been cleaned out, refitted and some decent oil put in.So T'Hulleys Bus will ride again after the vehicles at work who have used this barrel of oil are fixed.A very big THANK YOU to all who helped on this Thread

Hopefully you won't see me on the Technical Pages again

.
Love jackie

Cheers guys & gals.
The fuel pump diaphragm was still intact and pumping fine, I've swapped it anyway while it was orf and it's in the spares box
There was no oil pressure turning over by the starter at the oil filter or either rocker box. Having taken out the oil pump from the DJ it appears there is just not enough pressure to 'clear' the pump i.e. it just sits there and cavitates (spins idly).
The tailend's now stripped ready to remove (or just clear out) the pump. Looking forward to taking the remnants of the barrel of Rimula back to the supplier

It's supposed to be the best oil in the business ....

could be interesting methinks.
Both episodes of oil pressure loss occured within 130 miles of an oil change from the same barrel ... yet a 4 ltr can of the same oil was just fine (as it has been for 3 years)
Will update again tomorow ... thanks for all the help thus far.
Ian.
PS the DJ will be rebuilt as and when time allows and we'll start again with that one ... quite a bit the wiser
