excuse my ignorance ... but where is the turbo and which pipe do I need to take off? Anyone got a picture?

Get a long piece of hose fasten onto breather from cam cover and put it up on the engine bay vents upto top of van, try for a few days, if lots of oil is coming out engine is dead.

I would put a bowl under it before you do and make sure you're not lying directly under it when you pull it off. Or you will be doing an Al Jolson impersonation. Like I was yesterday!
