How do matey,

I had trouble with mine last week at Dubfreeze, i think what i did wrong was start mine up with the 'stat on full knacker.

What i have sinse found out is this............

Turn dial fully ANTI-clockwise and switch rocker to LEFT (fully RIGHT and all you get is constant cold air) the RED light should be on.

The heater should then 'purge' for 30 secs then you will hear the speed of the blower reduce and (hopefully) warm air will start to blow.

Turn the dial CLOCK-wise until the GREEN light comes on (if not already) and set the temp to what you require.

Does the RED light flash at all? depending on how many times it flashes depends on the fault.

Two flashes is GAS.

Five is blocked exhaust/inlet.

Have you made sure the gas taps are on under the sink?

With the fridge, is the rocker switch flashing and clicking when you turn it on?

If not, you probably need to turn on the "Aux" switch on the Zig unit.

Sounds like you need a holdsworth villa user guide - did it not come with one?

Dude where exactly are these taps i dotn think mine has them?
ive checked were the sink is then the gas storage cupboard and the fixed metal gas pipe just goes through cabinet back

Ok a update

1)turn gas on (verify its on by opening a gas ring) can't find any taps under sink

2) Turn thermostat dial totaly anti clockwise

3)The rocker switch on the thermostat is a 2 way 'on' or 'off'

4)Turn the switch to on you get a solid red led(no fan)

5)Turn thermostat dial round to about 3 and fan kicks in (fast sounding) then cut out no red led flash nothing?

The best thing to do is stick a multi meter on the propex while you start it and let us know what it says. If its stays above 12v then its not the battery. These babies draw a LOT of current compared to pissy little fridges.... :)

However, i, in my own sad little world was assuming that everyone has a multi meter - and if you havent (i'd be suprised as you can draw circuit diagrams) then yes, charge the battery and have a retry....

got a reply from richard at propex...........

Hi Andy

From the fault you are describing it sounds to me like the flame sensing circuit has gone faulty - this will require either a new control board or flame sensing electrode. If you want to send the heater to us we can put it on our test bench and verify the problem.
