I think they are about that Clive - and you will want new ones if you are fiddling with any of the plumbing at all, they just snap of in yer hands it would seem :? Years of life probably making them brittle loike...

Didn't know that, you're responsible now for making me think seriously about getting that tank out :cry:

Try getting a tank out when someone has driven into your rear corner at 40-50mph and bent the chassis rail into it... needed quite some persuasion with a 3 tonne jack.

Clive leave it alone and drive the bloody thing unless it's haemorrhaging fuel. This is the only reason Sam's dropping his.

Float valves are:

P/N 251201311B

Price = £8.41 + VAT

You *may* need two, depending upon how ham-"interfered with" you are.

Everything else is out anyway, the tanks the last thing and there's a hole up behind there I can see, was going to let it go, but think I'll get it out and then that'll be it, start welding it all up and putting it back - been practising my welding on the Doka steps and sills.

Those rear cross-members were indeed full of silt after wading up in N. Herts. but not rusted through.

I thought the way ahead was rivets, plate and sealant, Clive?

What's happened to that approach?

Non-structural when I didn't have a MIG, what's done, done, I'm spotwelding up the Cleco holes, then seaming. Works well!

With sealant it's actually better than welding in some situations (very thin stuff)

Hey! I'm outside at - 2 lying on Type 1 stones, you're in a workshop with a smooth floor and your tools within reach - no contest :D

Plus Donald Dokka's the priority at the moment - before that goes the same way :(

It is possible to remove it with engine in place no problems. To be honest, I don't see how removing the engine would have made it any easier.
Cheers,
Sam.
