"have we reached a verdict on whether to have an air gap or not"

When you use any of this thin type insulation, the air gap is a part of the thermal break. Reading this thread I noticed the comment about using the layered type insulation in the floor. This won't be that effective because you are squeezing all the air out of it. Should be very effective in the panels though (although as it's part fabric I wonder if that would trap moisture too? I'm looking at the foil bubble wrap type.

cheers, yeah the foil bubblewrap seems to be the gear, just wondered whether there was anything else I could do whilst the panels were off, anyone else have any views ?

So I've been reading all the insulation threads and still can't work out how I attach the Thermo wrap onto/inside the doors. Also what should I use as sound proofing?

once the sound proofing/thermowrap is inside the panels do I need to seal it all up with plastic then the door card's etc??

Just picked up the thermo wrap from Tesco direct (still on buy one get one free!!) so I really want to crack on with the job

Thanks
