Well VW got me a new oil pump!!![must have had it tucked away somewhere?].Got the engine back from the machine shop,reboared out to 77.48 mm[from76.48!],the gasket set is realy crap,the exhaust manifold gaskets look like their made out of metal foil!,the new head looks good[AMC a spanish firm], i am still checking the parts over.
the people at the shop are very friendly,and good at explaining things[in spanish].so off to the bar for a few.
