and everyone else says somik different!
I want to do the best by my 2.1i SS engine and just use a decent oil, should be simple.

I use Shell Rimula Plus. This contains detergents which clean the engine BUT also it has additives which combat the breakdown of the oil which they've experienced with LPG and petrol engine oils towards the end of the service period, I change this at 3,000 to 4,000 miles or when the 4 poster's free and I remember, with the filter every other change.
Done this for 2 years now since conversion. BTW the guy at HPBC laughed his t!ts off when asked about semi-sympathetic oil

You use a good 15/40 you'll not go too far wrong, change it and it's filter regularly.
