Owen changing babies nappy's is worse than sorting the lavy out , wait until baby needs a "pooh" at stupid o'clock , as for the bog roll your not using the right stuff , the pottapotty stuff breaks down , and is well ££££ ,
Tis a pain emptying the porta potti but its a mans job
We've started feeding Owlets Jnr solids now so her pooh is getting fairly offensive, have had to bail out a couple of times cos the stench has been too much for me.
Once looked at the cost of Porta Potti toilet paper but its stupidly expensive

Not in our van!!
With a "productive" five year old - there are strict rules about usage. If I have to empty it then she gets priority for the middle of the night (no guarantee of fluids only though)- all the rest - use other facilitities.
Now also have become more dilligent about frequent emptying. after a trip to Cropredy it was so full that when I unscrewed it to empty it the pressure shot the screw cap out of my hand and stuck into the disposal point (luckily it was a homemade sunken toilet affair so the cap could get right down into the u bend - but all the same it was not pleasant

) May be it was too much real ale

i only empty mine when its full, that chemical is expensive! But the plus side is, everything is by then liquid, and no worse than stale wee in odour.
Its fine to empty it down the bog, thats where it goes when you use a emptying point on a site anyway..........
as for no solids... its a fecking bog ffs, if you wont allow pooh, then whats the point, you would never survive sleepyspotting properly, for like a fortnight at a time!
As for bog roll, dont bother with the portapotti stuff at ££££ a roll from caravan shops, use the cheapo supermarkets own stuff ( asda @£1 for 6) it breaks down far faster, and is just mash by emptying time........
jeeeeez, this should be wiki'd!
Have you ever spilt the blue stuff? I spilt some on my workshop floor ( dropped the bottle and it spilt) if you just leave it, it drys to a powder and brushes off, but goes red on concrete!!

Ok we have an answer straight from the horses mouth....as it were......
Matt sent an e-mail to Elsan the other day and they have just got back to me via e-mail.....
Yes its ok to empty your chemical toilet contents down the
mains toilet as long as the chemical has been in your chemical loo for at
least 3 days. (this is when the active stops working and will not interfere with the sewage works.)
Hope this settles your debate.
Regards

What button would that be? Or am I being totally thick?

Mine was really full once, and when I pressed the button, I got a nasty trickle of nastiness, nastily dripping onto my feet (and the bathroom floor!).
Ever since that, I don't press the button! Glug, Glug, splash is more fun...
