I just love WD40 :ok After squirting the magical potion down the stuts and twisting and pushing for a short period of time (anything to avoid putting the kids to bed! ) I got movement, and the struts are working!

That has just saved me £163 and now have just got to try and fit them, what do you think, roof up or down for fitting? Can't access the back to fit with roof down, can't get room up unless they are fitted :?

It's going to be fun.

Put a new hat on ours. Yorkshire Conversions, and re built furniture as original spec, apart from putting an extra locker in where silly side seat was, from MF MDF, expensive, but a little lighter than laminate & balancer.

Hi - Got an 88 Autohomes Komet - loved it for 3 years and have decided to invest a little money in it instead of buying a new car.
Was wondering about getting an elevating roof instead of the big white monster thats on it ATM. Do you know if Yorkshire Conversions manufacture these?

Thanks[/quote]

Happy with mine - interior a bit tatty and pop-top was rotten.
TimberTech Dave fixed me up with Mr Whippy Hi-Top last June - much better.

Ive still the 4 gas struts in the cellar if anyone' s interested?
