Hi yes I realise it's because no oil in the tubes, that's why I thought best to adjust when well warmed up,but most people say cold and some say warm

Hi all, seems to me if you do them cold your guessing where the push rods will be when the engine is warm and the tubes are full of oil, and if you do them hot chances are you'll depress the valves, , so I wonder ,do them hot but just untill they touch,

Any help?
