You are right Russel
Preperation...

Lots of it for you and your vehicle..

so many stories of tradegy when it was easyily avioded.
One Ray Mears (what a great bloke) told a story about 2 germans in Oz.. got the vehicle stuck and tried to walk out when they had plenty of water and food.. only been "missing" 2 days... not enough time for the alarm to be raised.. Police let air out of the tires and drove the vehicle straight out...

I know Russel has turned down various offers from other 4x4 owners to go on his Morrocan excursion as none of them can offer the comfortable and secure accomodation of a T25 Syncro camper.

I think personally it's different strokes for different folks - if you're just off on your own with no one else to have to consider then a Doka with a canopy would fit the bill nicely, the greater manouvreability would serve well on a long haul trek where rugged terrain was gonna be the norm rather than the exception.

If though you are like me with a rugrat and the missus in tow there's no substitute for the creature comforts and greater workable space that having a westie provides...

Look out for Mike Plompen's Doka for the ultimate in spec and gizzmo's!
