Pull the belt off you may have jumper the belt
Crank is set up with a pointer into the flywheel
Fuel pump with a pin
Cam with the plate in the back

exactly this.. Don't worry about "why" just get the belt off and reset the engine to TDC by hand

Once you have replaced the belt and you are confident it’s timed up correctly and nothing can slip,
It’s always worth taking the precaution of turning the engine at least 2 full revolutions by hand before starting it.

Ideally you should check the crank timing sprocket is as tight as it should be (Given that something has slipped) but that really needs the tool to hold the sprocket while doing so , a new bolt and a big torque wrench.If the injection pump maintained its correct timing when the camshaft did not then that should provide some reassurance that crankshaft sprocket did not slip!
