Fuel starvation when the engine is warm is probably more likely to be air leaking in somewhere around the carb/inlet making the mixture over lean rather than a leak in the fuel delivery.
Looks like your filter is hanging down a bit, perhaps because the hoses are too short that's the only place it will go. It will normally tuck up by the side of the box section, so is pretty well protected. But far better to be where it is than have a plastic fuel filter in a hot engine compartment

Oh yeah and there's also the possibility of a worn fuel pump pushrod. Oh what fun it is owning one of these vans!

Mine had intermittent starting issues a few years ago.
The bushing for the starter motor was worn, and would bind when I tried to crank the engine.
From memory, the brass bushings were pennies to buy. Fiddly to remove though.
( Struggling to recall exact symptoms - I think you'd hear the click, but nothing would happen and headlights would dim I think. )

Are the fuel lines standard size? (3/8 10mm)

Brickwerks used to do a full kit, front to back ( feed and return. )
They seem to be two separate kits now.
I assume its a DG engine?

Great, thanks. I reckon this is as good a place to start as any!
