It is fully. And that is exactly what i have been doing.. Iv either got a dodgy latch or adjusting the striker plate may or maynot resolve the issue

So I followed bentlys instructions manually on undoing the latch screws shutting the tailgate and then doing up the screws...
Took some doing with an impact driver.
Tailgate now shuts perfectly with no effort at all...
However.
You can see how much adjustment the latch needed

However its resulted in this...

So clearly I need to adjust the top hinges. As well as the latch again
( another trip to borrow a longer allen key needed)
it has made no difference to the central locking issue.
So i still plan to swap the latch in hope that solves the issue.

Re Allen key, I should have what you need to borrow

Im all good thanks.. Mine just isint long enough to clear the tailgate opening. But have a allen key socket set at parents just down the road. And have to drop some bits there anyway

So other style of latch arrived and now work perfectly
So either was an issues with my original latch or that there is a central locking specific one
