Hi
I believe I also have an issue with the exact model described here. Most obvious ymptoms are that the Fuel pump & idle stabliser control valve do not initialise/prime before cranking the engine.
Im also looking for a replacement ECU and/or one diagnose
Thanks, Rich
check the relays are switching properly (above the coil) faulty 12v connection from alternator or from the electrical box left side of engine bay and check the idle switch on throttle body is switching correctly

I have fixed 5 of these ECU's now. It can be a number of things, but I have also seen 2 where the voltage regulator chip has died and these are not available. When you cycle on the ignition, do you hear the fuel pump cycle for 2 seconds?

this thread is following my diagnostics for the issue
viewtopic.php?p=8312307#p8312307
In summary, bad ignition from fuse box to engine bay wire (Black)
and then also yesterday bad ground from pump to engine bay ground (12), even though I cleaned that up recently, but guess cable is bad somewhere

A bit more local than Canada, Dream and Drive in the Netherlands have a couple of electronics wizzards doing work for them, they may well be able to help.
Cobblers might be worth a plea too
