No the pump didn't work when I disconnected the leisure battery.

As you are disconnecting the neg with your deadnames switch , i would suggest the leisure battery negative is maybe not part of the game where your pump is concerned ?

Normally the domestic water pump is switched in the negative wire , and the live is unbroken

Bit late but I had the same problem with the same zig unit, I traced the wires and turned out one had corroded and that is what had caused the sudden loss of water pump and lights.

I found it by removing the vent below fridge on outside of van and following from there. Mine has its leisure battery under the drivers seat though so wires may be routed differently than in yours.
