That is why you you should stay in the 1980's!
I couldn't work out why references were being made to the petrol one.

While on the topic of starter motors the consensus seems to be a refurbished older starter motor is a better option than buying new.
I have had a look and a new one seems to be around £120-200 ish. The guy I'm taking it to said he can't price the job until he strips it down so my question is if the refurb is going to be about 80-100 is it worth just getting new?
That said I have to get the thing of the van first ha

And it’s integrated on the diesel , I think the op has something mixed up and the starter guy doesn’t know why he would need what he’s asking for

Yeh I think there was a bit of a mix up. I couldn't find the part I was looking for because it is for a petrol and mines diesel so is part of the starter itself from what I gather.
I assumed the diagram provided was for the diesel as I had read that diesel starters have the nose cone but petrol don't.
Any idea where I can find these diagrams for other parts of the van? Would make it a lot easier trying to find the right parts if I had the part numbers ha

Try 7zap that has diagrams and part numbers. You need to choose type2/syncro.
