Ordering and will report back.

I'd pop the window out first!!! I made the expensive mistake of ordering first and got it wrong!
I was putting it off as thought less risky etc but in the end I was able to pop them in and out in no time.

Well, l emailed Leisuredrive asking for dimensions for the hightop seals. I sent three photos showing a steel rule against outer seal for reference sizing. I even commented on the lovely interior (a sweetener l thought) 30 years on.
They answered today:
Hello
It is £62.00 for 6m of Claytonrite rubber & insert delivered.
Thanks
Leisuredrive.
Oh well! Back to pulling seal to measure

And l only need five metres

210 cm each side.

Saw a demonstration on Combe valley campers about replacing windowseams.
It was said that they couldn't get the exact fit.
They bought a 1 mm flat seam to make the perfect fit. Had to work all the way round the inside to push the outside flush.
If only one side fits and have a gap on other, perhaps this could work. Cheaper than returning and reordering perhaps!

Just had a chat with a very helpful gentleman at Seals Direct. He recommended 3 by 5mm with a web of 7mm. 5m including sealing strip delivered for £38.00. 30 quid cheaper than Leisuredrive.

On ebay for about £30. But he gave good advice and duly rewarded with a purchase.
So ordered and arriving wednesday. Ive owned the glazing tool for ten years. Now time to use it in anger
Stay tuned

Still not fitted new seals yet. Trips to the beach (one mile away) for a swim seems more appropriate during this lovely weather
Fitting new seals on Monday and will post photos, together with blood , sweat and tear!
