Dunno, but it works well, I use it for the house windows too, far better than domestic products

I wiped up some sikaflex mess with white spirits,
worked fine, but I am concerned about it preventing proper cure,
and then not painting over well..

Once allowed to go off fully I'd say if if you are using rustoleum it would be worth doing a small test strip first and see how it goes over 24hrs.

If there are problems you could try sealing with an aerosol of something first like suggested on my thread.

Better to find out now that when you have your topcoat going on and running out of drying time outdoors.

I use sikaflex for work in construction and it's quite a rare product in that no matter what method you use to seal the nozzle after use before storing it will cure within the tube not long after. I really like the product but loathe to use a new tube for a tiny amount knowing full well I'll have to bin it if there's no other use for it in a week or so.

Lots of other gunnable products that I use can be stored for months without problem, may require a new nozzle but nothing else, Sikaflex is different!

Have you tried insulating tape over the end ?

Just used some that I last used 2 weeks ago, unscrewed and emptied the nozzle, then all was OK

Only way I’ve found for sure is to replace nozzle.

The amount in the old nozzle appears to be enough to prevent moisture reaching main tube, but still probably past it’s best after a few weeks.
