No need to retest from the high pressure switch, readings will be very similar to those from the low pressure switch.

Great news but have ordered from just campers as they listed the exact same one as the image you posted .

Will fit that as soon as it arrives along with a couple of other bit n pieces , and hopefully can remove the extra earth, so chuffed engine is sound . When I was in and around it yesterday having removed cover to access to lower sensor noticed that the tin ware around was looking a little unloved so removed that lot wire brushed off sanded primed and repainted in high temp waxoleon products and they look bang on, but then noticed a tiny amount of oil leaking ( weep more than a leak) and the rocker covers would benefit from same treatment , retained by heavy gauge steep clips if I remove these do I need to install new rubber gaskets and also is it worth checking valve clearances at the same time?

Took the van for a short run about 40 miles round trip checked on return that everything I’ve touched was oil tight ,all good, ran well sits at 60 65 no problem at all, might have to look at power steering in the future as the wife struggles at bit at low speed parking etc.. but that’s for the future .. friendly bunch the vw lot every van we saw either waved flashed or a combination of both !

I’ve applied for membership and hope that as I learn more about these vans I may be able to assist someone like myself one day.

Today is about cleaning treating fresh water tanks, testing fridge as I’ve no idea what combination of switches makes it work ,if indeed it does work mains,12v,gas

Luckily I’ve got two weeks of work.

Use Brickwerks if you can.
They sell only OE or OEM for quality reasons
The rocker cover gasket should be cork.
Do not buy after market covers/clips they don't work.

The HLP switch is for line pressure to the main bearings before the filter.
The LLP switch is for the secondary pressure to the lifters and rocker gear.
Same pump but different values

Some may disagree, but I have made it my lifes ambition to never order anything from them again.

You will get the part, and a little packet of haribo with it. You will think oh, well that a nice touch what a lovely company. The warm fuzzy feeling will lats until one of the following happens:

1) It doesn't fit

2) It breaks after 20 miles

3) It breaks in a way that ruins your engine, and then they threaten you with court action for just asking if they might just possibly consider a refund (true story).

There are a number of better suppliers (almost any of them) - Brickwerks often held up as the best, VW Heritage seem okay, Cool Air also fine. GSF and Eurocarparts can be hit and miss, but tend to have local stock holding for those emergency need in now type bits.

Well that’s me told , will reorder sensor from brickworks now, just campers must be suffering if this is a true reflection of there quality.

They have a loyal following for reasons that escape me!

No parts supplier is perfect, you'll find that as you order more and more bits (and you will, its part of the 'joy' of owning one of these vans) that some are great, some aren't so great. So what you need is to find suppliers you trust to sell you the best possible bits in the first place, but then also be good when something goes wrong.

Do bear in mind as well that negative reviews are removed from Just Kampers website, and also from Trust Pilot. Trust Pilot allows stores to remove negative feedback if they believe it to be 'malicious'. Make of that what you will!

Anyway, hope the new switch solves all your red light flashing - I've had the same, and even if you know its not a reflection of the actual oil pressure, its a disconcerting light to have flashing away at you!

Yeah I know tell me about it, you end up staring at it rather than the road, well thanks for the heads up regarding parts suppliers.

It’s apparent that owning a t25 is not your ordinary vehicle life ,service once a year type thing and forget it to next year..but having spent a little time and getting drawn into the making things pretty as you go about repairs is strangely making me feel alright about the whole thing ,( I’m actually enjoying it) It’s weird last time I felt about a motor was when I owned and minis in the 90 s .

Relatively simple to work on very few specialist tools required and best of all I can spend hours titting about with it and the wife hasn’t windged ounce! Result..

Anyhow I must get tanks flushed the stuffs been in there ages , and the bumpers could do with a fettle and repaint!

That's the spirit.

I bought mine 14 years ago and removed all the fluids.
I took the service to year zero and started my own maintenance/service schedule (aided by VW, Haynes & Bently manuals)
The van resembles triggers broom now but I am confident in its continued service as holiday vehicle and my accomodation while away from home at work.

Funny reference , I remember 14 handles and six heads or something like that, just campers can be the driskall brothers, at the moment I feel like a bit of a rodney. Just sheared bolts in bumper , encap fixings had to drilled.

Just looked through my auto homes manual and it’s actually got an option for a w/c just got to find the right size one now... and buy and table .

I need back plates for front breaks looked on line and the one from just camper had a review that was less than favourable any suggestions for some nice thick ones daft I know but I may as well replaced pads disc whilst I’m there and mot mention upper ball joint gaitor was torn so they are going to,and d bushes on anti roll look past it.

I need to stop looking under this van ...

Hi all well ,replaced the rear upper sensor ,removed the temporary earth,travel a total of 310 trouble free miles and not a flashing light in site..( result)

3 nights in the van all is well.
