And just for completeness I believe the extra brass Pierburg bit on my carb is a fuel vapour separator. Now looking for a pic of one in situ to see if I have the fuel lines attached in the right order.

You had it right the first time. Top outlet is the return to the tank. The one below is the inlet from the fuel pump. the bottom one is the outlet to the carb.

Cheers Big Herb, all reattached. After lunch it'll be jack out and attempt to fit new petrol tank etc.

Itchy, I'm probably just going to stick to Tapatalk if needing to add pics.
