The rev counter seems to be ok. Though the company who I bought it from, seems to come across as the customer is always wrong, type thing.

I emailed them a technical question yesterday morning in regards to this illumination not working, when my previous TIM rev counter gauge lit up fine in the wire set up (and so did the cheap chinese one prior, though didn't tell them about that one), in case it mudded the water!

So far no reply back. If I don't get a reply by Tuesday, they will be getting a sharper toned email about customer service.

Did that rev counter come with a dash pod?

No, nothing just the gauge.

Though, had a pod left over from the cheap china one!

I see you have the same dial.
How did you get your illumination to work?
At what wiring point did you take your illumination feed from?

Found an ignition +12V off the fuse box

I have an upgraded auxiliary fusebox which is purely fed by traction batterys, which is bit more accessable then standard fusebox, which tight on wiring.
For the gauge illumination, I just ran power from the auxiliary, to a spare dashboard switch & then to the gauge.
If at night-time I require light for the gauge. I can opt for it.
Gauge working all ok not bad for £30.
