Looking forward to trying to fit this tomorrow. I’ve gone from no fan to my own custom switch.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but does itchys way alow the fan to work as normal, ie- as if no switch is fitted,

Yes. I followed his instruction and fan works automatically on first and second stage, too.

I'm m doing this next week for a friend, is the process the same for an 1984 van, I won't see the van until I'm there so I can't check beforehand,

Check which type of fuses the van uses in the glovebox. If old style torpedo, then unlikely it is the same process. Itchyfeet's article only covers late (post1985/6) vans.

ok, can someone please tell me how to fit a chicken switch to a 1984 van please it has bullet fuses, as I've been informed that itchys method will not work,
