I am gutted, I wanted to buy it a few years ago when Alex put it up for sale but he changed his mind. He wanted offers in the region of £10,000
I spoke to him last year about the turbo motor and again asked him if it was for sale it wasn't.
When I saw it was for sale I e-mailed him and asked him how much He said he would send me some pics and then we could discuss.
not being local I could not just pop round.
I received the photo's and the news that it was sold.
What a bargain you got Sir 2 U.
Hope its in good hands and doesn't get sold on again for a huge profit.

Don`t worry, its in safe hands.
I do not buy to sell.
I hope to restore it, back to its former glory ( if I can find the correct
alloy wheels.)
Alex's seemed keen it went to a good home ( so he must of liked me! )
and as I`m not far away hes hoping to see it driving around.
Hes now got an X5!!! ( poor chap must have had a blow to the head )

Crossed my mind too! Horses for courses though, many think we've not had a blow to the heads but were born liking T25s

When I spoke to Alex a couple of years ago, He said he still had the original wheels.

The spare is still original, so its a good start for a part number or name.
Alex said he sold the wheels to a German chap as he needed the space..
Maybe I`ll post a photo here to see if anyone has them in there garden shed!!

Yes it is, but highly modified. Particularly front suspension I believe...

I noticed from the photos that the wheel wells look the same size as a standard 14 and it looks as if the trailing arms are standard 14's due to them not putting the centre of the hub of centre in the wells(towards the rear)
Of cource i could be wrong and not looking at the photos proply.
There were 30 odd 14 carrat syncros made (so i have been told!)

This was supposedly one of three very late 16s made, possibly the last three made as a batch. Amongst other thngs it's possible the front subframe was even moved (fwd?)slightly - just a guess reading betwen the lines. Double discs at the back... and quite a lot of instrumentation to keep the engine out of trouble.
Hopefully Paul knows what he's bought

Is it a 16??
Well, it has front CV protectors, larger drive shafts and rear arms. Not sure what you mean about the wheel arches, are they bigger on a 16?
S17 Carat WV2ZZZ25ZMG016477 July 1992.
I cannot find the sticker with M codes yet, only a Mercedes Benz sticker with the paint code.
Maybe some one can help....
When the gear box warms up, the gears become sticky, ( in and out of gear ) not helped by the linkage feeling worn?
Any more questions, please feel free to ask.
Have taken some pics. How do I stick them on here
Cheers Paul
