I stopped my lights front flickering just by ordering a new regulator, the day it arrived the flickering stopped!
Will swap it over anyway, when I get chance.

Iv had similar problems lately,although I changed voltage regulater, complete job actually,but just recently iv found that when she's idling I can see a faint flickering red glow from the battery light but,when I switched the headlights on it goes off??!!
,if I turn the blower on 1 then 2 then3 it goes dimmer step by step then off altogether,iv recently changed both pully belts and got nice 5-10mm squeeze but also now sometimes when I go to start her up there can be anything from a half a sec to 3second delay before starter motor kicks in? How bizarre!!,,any clues anyone?, occasionally recently iv had belt squeal too but only slight especially when rear window heater is on,she's also recently had new waterpump fitted also,?help!,,,,I'm only using the van at nite at the mo mainly so daytime I see nothing on the dash at all,seems a bit wrong way round to me lol,she's carrying jx and generally running sweet after roughly 5yrs of water leaks that are bobon-sorted!,any help massively appreciated and seasons greetings to us T25rs world wide.unique or what.

I'll second that, like yours mine were not that old. Worked well while they lasted with good output, just a shame they need changing every couple of year's. Think the company they came from are only based on Warrington to.

The Brickwerks premium one has the same output 14.5v so I ordered one of those.They do a cheaper one as well so I ordered one of those as a back up.

It does kind of depend on the state of the copper slip rings too. If the previous set of brushes had worn down so that one of them was sparking, then the slip ring may be rough, and will grind away the new brush. It might not be the quality of the new brushes causing he wear. It's always good to inspect the slip rings when changing a regulator.
