Wiring the seats
The heating elements are thermostatically controlled by the special control units, using sensors fitted inside the seats. The controls units have four positions, off and three heat levels, and they have the following connections (from a message on a Saab Forum):
2: +12V from the fuse box - Yellow wire
6: Thermostat - Blue wire
7: Illumination - White/brown wire
9: Ground - Black wire
10: Heating element - White/yellow wire

cheers andy, I will be using your runner adjustment and bolting melthod for the drivers seat and may alter the swivel seat set-up as well.
When you moved and bolted the runners to the inside of the seats did you have to cut a peice off the seat slider release bar as well to compensate for the narrower width?
And where did you get the control units for the heated seats?

The seats are in!! Thanks for the pictures they were a great help.
I was annoyed as when the seats arrived I discovered the pictures I had been sent by the seller were all of the pasenger seat, the drivers seat is really crap. I have arranged to get it recovered using leather from the back seats, I will also be using the material to cover the door panels.

Did it your way, but my feet don't touch the floor
I may change things when the weather gets better.
Did you remove the old runners that are welded to the floor then just drill holes? How did you get them off, angle grinder?

I did it syncroandy's way
I removed all the raising and lowering stuff from the drivers seat and rebolted the seat runners back on but on the inside of the seat to the correct spacing of the runners on the van and re-bent the seat slider adjustement leaver to fit the new seat runner spacing. Then bolted the seat to the old runners on the seat box. You need the old runners to bolt to so do not grind them off
I'll tell you what I'll take some pics tomorrow and show you exactly how I did it.

No problem. Removing the drivers seat height adjusing mechanism make the seat a lot lower for shorter people
