Sump nuts only need nipping up so they crush the washer and that provides enough bite for them to be tight.

Never used a torque wrench on a sump nut with a crush washer ever.

Just my 2 washers worth!

And how many Nm is that nip up then?
If the thread shakes loose you will loose your sump plug, happened to me once.

Is that why they put the oil filler in a place where it's almost impossible to fill it up without a funnel, the brake top up under the dash cover where it's hard to check and the washer filler under the mat again almost impossible to fill without a funnel.

I fill mine without a funnel, just slide the extension out of the filler pipe.

Fresh 5L of oil, extension out and and try pouring it in without spilling it.

Filler extensions.....? Where, never noticed them..... Will go home and have a look.

2 man job with a 5L can.

Looks like this...with an 'INNER' pull out sleeve...still bloomin difficult to get oil in to it.

I use the LPG cap to wedge the door open, I used to use the oil cap but if it falls down behind the bumper it's hard to remove.

Funnel is a mouthwash bottle cut at an angle.

Spring removal seems like the best idea to me, they're pointless anyway as the catch keeps it firmly closed.

catch is too firm imo, I don't use it anymore, taken the skin off too many times.

I don't have the problem, I have an ADY motor fitted and have removed the filler pipe.
When it needs oil, which is seldom, there's a filler cap on the rocker box.
