Right.
Hard to see in the pic below, but the blue ribbon is there, but just no plug on the reverse going to the buzzer.
I can even see the points where the terminations should be.

It is really tempting to try and sand off the plastic coat and solder the plug in, but I think I may really feck things up doing that because the points are so close, and I may end up with neither option working for me.
Looking on the WIKI some have made a few hard wired boards.
If I try that method, at least if I mess up, I can recover....
Need to sleep on this I reckon - I will put the clocks in as they are tomorrow and see if the rev counter works first, then formulate a plan.
Although I am leaning toward making up my own here...
