This pic seems to show it best.
Shaft is straight, pulley wheel is off.

And the washer is a 5mm thick solid slab.

So now I just need to source a new pulley, washer and bolt. I don't fancy spending 90 quid on a brand new pulley from vwheritage.

I'll try to take some more pictures of the actual pulley in the light when I get home.

Oh and it needed a 30mm socket. Only £6.49 at halfords

I will check tomorrow to see if I have a spare single pulley; if I do then there should be a bolt and washer.

Well here is the proof that the pulley is well and truly goosed. I can only assume it inadvertently took a whack as the engine was being fitted.

Drop me a line at my works, I keep my pm's off these days. Might well be in tomorrow a.m.

PS I checked the pulley on a lathe, it's good.

PS I put the wonky pulley uner the press and it straightened out quite well, but it doesn't "ring" like it should; I suspect the rivets are now loose...
