Just showed the wife the remains of the sound deadening pads and she said "ah no you're not putting that back in there are you?" :?:

Boatbuilder - as a bit of a noise freak myself I wondered about using a product from these folks - and they'll deliver almost anywhere (a treat for those of us in Highland) quite cheaply.

http://www.asap-supplies.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just measured my old one and for the metal clips to hold it, it would have to be over 1 metre in length - SMcKnighty how did you get by with one sheet 95cmx95cm? Join in the middle or something?

Big piece is 110cmx53cm
Small piece is 110cmx17cm

I can get this stuff locally - http://www.soundinsulation.ie/acoustic- ... -foam.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or better still...
http://www.soundinsulation.ie/boat-soun ... -foam.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Will ring him tomorrow to see if he'll give me half a sheet.

The sheets from the ASAP shop are quite small so you'd need two of them...

Just rang soundinsulation.ie
He is giving me a sheet of 22mm marine acoustic foam (as per photo above) big enough to do two vans for 100 euro! :ok

Impressive! Do let us know how well it works when installed, (and how easy to install...)
