Sounds good

Yesterday I was trying to post the following in response to your previous message re Ebay ones, but I kept getting an error message, lets try it now =
Looks good, but best check in the wiki, there is a section all about the most suitable battery to buy, especially re the height, which is a limiting factor on choice.
Those Volt meters. You could fit one. Most folk only use them for checking their leisure batteries, but with a simple changeover switch you can make it readout for either. However, if you do get one, check it's readout against a known good multimeter. I have three here and two of them can be up to .5 a Volt out, whitch is quite a lot if you consider your regulator might be outputting 14.2 Volts, your new meter might show that as 14.7

(or the opposite way round).

What for?
Sorry, not meant to sound abrupt

Just that if you don't have a leaky battery (which one shouldn't) then no need for a tray, unless I am misinterpreting you (which I may well be).

Bit tight in there for a tray!
Anyways better to fix the problem not the symptom eh?

Worth noting the accuracy of those LCD voltage displays.
Going for a drive tomorrow will hook up my multimeter to keep tabs on voltage
Did check wiki which reminded me to measure what would fit, the way mine is set up would have made one of the larger battery's nigh on impossible to squeeze in.

Why fit a tray under the battery? To stop any acid leaks in the future! But your right tricky fitting a tray under a battery behind the seats!

I use those yellow absorbtion mats under car batteries. Picked up a few from a Halfwits £1 bin yeats ago. Thought they were worth a go at that price.
