I wouldn't change the shocks only I have to as the stock ones are all rotten.They work ok but I don't think they would do to well with the MOT as the outer covers are rusted and falling apart.

Pick up some stock ones, give them a proper coat of paint (the stuff they paint them with is thin to say the least). Fit them then get on with something else.

Yes..spend your money on what suits.
But always spend it on quality.

I may put a set of Sachs on and as suggested paint them with hammerite or something..
