Rattling Hob Project Management Analysis Conclusions

The 6 preferred options:

haynes manual
insulation foam
silicone baking sheet
tea towels (plus optional lizard)
Bending
chewing gum

were fully analysed for spontaneity, originality, functionality, cost, and ease of fitting.

Bending and chewing gum were considered as additional partial solutions to be used in addition to other options.

And the overwhelming winner was .... (drum roll) ... !!!!***TEA TOWELS***!!!!

[Chewing gum was considered too unhygenic but bluetack has been a very successful alternative]

The stuff is simply awesome.

On mine it's not the rack on the hob that rattles, it's the mesh thingy in the grill, the bit that glows red when lit.

I have looked at the problem, but that didn't help.

you have a grill!! I have just bought a camping gaz cooker that I can use outside because it has a grill and I needed TOAST in the morning else I cant function properly. I'm guessing y ours is not an original cooker hob?

Most do have a grill.
Westfalia ones (and a very few others) don't, but we won't go into the "Westy no toast" jokes here again shall we

Non of my interior could be classed as original because mine is a panel van converted originally to a mini bus, and then much latter a home brew camper, so the cooker and fridge etc were likely bought from here and there separately.

Why they are always telling us how much better they are.

Same problem solved by using square of left over floor lino- obviously only when cold!
