Mind you, TV detector vans don't exist anyway. They were only promoted as a way to get unlicensed households panic into buying a licence if they saw one in the area. Now they just rely on their database and send me two letters a month for a TV I do not have. :evil:

Anyone "into" serious CB radio, or amateur radio, benefits from having a shielded dizzy cap, carbon core leads and those metal plug caps that some folk say are best removed. Just sayin.

that be the original cap / shield

standard fit on vans when new.

no one refits them , it can be done , I have swapped them over just because . never known of any problems caused or rectified by the sheild

remember these vans were built in the 80's electronics weren't what they are now!
