You can usr a nibbler or a slitting disc ,suppose a metal blade inn a jigsaw would work fine just make sure you tape up the hole outline ,also make sure you have the new glass in your possession as well as the seal to ensure correct cut lol

Haha, getting the correct cut is the bit that bothers me!

Was thinking of getting a nibbler, but have my trusty jigsaw which has been highly effective at cutting my speaker holes in doors.

So it's not any heat issues from jigsaw or anything?

nope no heat worries, put glass on door and mark round in pen then remove glass and add tape to cover pen line by and inch or so either side then put glass back down and measure web of seal and add 1mm,then used a compass set to this measurement and draw round window onto tape you just applied  , i would add that when you make this measurement, use a good ruler to mark the distance from the glass THEN set the compass to that,
when cutting i cut through the line itself so end up with a touch more gap my mind was distracted by

hi guys ive just purchased two new felt seals for my drivers door, are these supposed to stop all water going inside the door ?, fitted them and they aren't really tight to the glass and rainwater still dripping down inside the door, 4 clips inside the door for each seal,is that enough?,thanks Laurence.
