Compressions are great too ...so thought it unlikely pistons or rings....sureley..

Worth while bearing in mind that white smoke ain't usually caused by oil.

Oil smoke is blue / grey and stinks :!:

SORTED...carbs flooding...sorted with new needle valves and bingo no smoke..thanks for replies...Cheers

Glad it's sorted :)- but I always thought an over rich mixture always produced black smoke (and a chuggy engine)
