I also bought this battery and had the same upgrade. The seller is hard to get hold of, but is arranging for the larger battery to be collected and correct one to be delivered. I wouldn't recommend him but I wouldn't say avoid either - much worse out there!!!

If Amazon had a point system that left feedback you'd never order from them much the same as any internet business.

I say get over it OP ring the company it's a bonified business if you search on Google you'll find a land line.

That is nonsense. Amazon asks for feedback and people provide it using a star system and commentary. So if you are thinking of buying something check out the responses there first. Ignore the moans about packaging, but do read the feedback about the quality of the products.

Maybe amazon wasn't a great example to use ! I have ordered lots from Amazon I've not used their point system as I didn't know it existed till today !

Back to the original point though nothing wrong with the eBay sellers feedback...

As said before give them a ring and I hope you get it sorted...

How could you miss it. It's been there for years. So check products and suppliers on Amazon first and then buy from whoever you like. If suppliers get bad feedback they get dropped by Amazon. I've only been let down once buying and using the feedback on Amazon and that was a very late delivery.

if its the right price and its sold by Amazon ill buy it ! If its on the market place the same item will be on eBay 9 times out of ten.

e-bay sucks.

The term 'repeat offender' springs to mind, not learning from his mistakes - same error made a few times and that's just from the minuscule number of people following this post. There aren't many companies that would admit to this being acceptable.

Bizarre how we as grown adults are divided on such a topic, perhaps I'm just less forgiving when I pay for a product/service.

Update - Still waiting to hear back from the eBay seller about returning the unwanted battery Maybe avoid was a little harsh? at the very least - proceed with extreme caution

I bought the battery I originally ordered yesterday - collected it from eurocarparts that I didn't realise had opened a branch within 3.5miles of where I work a few months ago - cost a few quid more but at least I've managed to install it now and get my van started before the weekend... started first time right on the button - Happy days

Yes,,,I think I originally posted the link to this, which in my defence was in no means recommending his services, however, with so many sales and only a few negatives, this hardly makes him a bad seller. Given the importance of the 'Height' of the battery and also given that 190mm is standard height ... 175mm is actually 'low profile' you absolutely neaded to inform him of the need for a 'LOW PROFILE' battery, which I am guessing you didn't!
On check out! when it asks if you want to send the seller a message...you really should have added that the supplied battery must be low profile (175mm)

I know it wasn't your fault, however, ordering parts online, from ANY seller is always going to be fraught with potential problems and emphasising the details minimises the chances of mistakes. If mistakes then ensue, you at least have the proof of your exact order requirements for an ebay dispute to go in your favour.

Martin - no probs with your link, on the face of it a good seller - guess I must just be one of the unlucky ones so sharing my experience for everyone else's benefit - I'm still waiting for a reply by the way!!! Appreciate what you're saying but put simply if he'd supplied what he advertised then there wouldn't be a problem.

However, as he didn't supply what he advertised then there is a problem. Now that I don't want what he supplied he seems to be ignoring me... There won't be any problems with an eBay dispute (if I have to go down that route) as what I received doesn't meet the advertised specifications - trade descriptions. I'll get the money back one way or another so am prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait a little longer for him to respond...

Will try and remember to close out this thread once it's all resolved...

Thinking outside the box, miffed though you might be with the present situation, I'm not sure this thread will be a useful lever if you're trying to encourage the seller to resolve the situation amicably. If you were still unhappy after he has made efforts to remedy the situation, I could understand it. I think other posters have said as much.
