I have a pair waiting to be fitted. How would you wire them Bigherb?

So is having them come on with the low beam a no no?

You can wire them two ways one uses a voltage sensing relay with a cancel function or the cheapest and more reliable as Lloydy says a 5 pin changeover relay.
If you want I will do a wiring diagram later, got to get my caving gear ready for tomorrow first.

This was what i was going to do, so they were on with ignition but off with lights

(I'm planning to wire mine in as proper DRL's, i want them on with the engine running and headlights off, but to automatically switch off when the headlights are turned on. I am looking at getting a 5 pin relay but just using 4 pins, wired something like this....
86 car side lights
30 car ignition
85 earth car body
87A toDRLs +ve

basically power to 86 turns them off, no power to 86 and they are on. 5 pin relay
