Ha!, no offence taken, my old holdsworth rates among my favourite ever bus. I will always have a soft spot for the brick, but have got used to 40+ mpg and ability to tow a caravan. Maybe one day i'll have one of each on my drive :ok

I get 40 plus too in my proper van... and I have towed many things with the mighty 2.1, boats with engines included.
But...Point taken Bowton lad,the long wheelbase T4, is just about as big inside as the proper van, I concede that, however it is ugly, so ugly you could keep cats out of your garden with one

You have a 2.1 that does 40mpg?. Fantastic engine but i averaged about 22!

I think you need to take the LPG equation in as well to get Kevs mpg,LPG makes a massive difference

LPG = less MPG but it's a lot cheaper per litre than petrol.

I found it to be about the same mpg Steve.
At 56p/litre it's 40 plus to the Gal.
bonus of no tractor sounds from the front..or back.
Just a sweet flat four growl.
