Have another good review from here, because it looks to be the same as mine... Bog-standard generic Chinese-by-the-container, yes, but works just fine. And it definitely reads higher than they say - I've seen 450degC on mine, on the outside of the woodburner!

Talking of reviews, I have started using Amazon, rather than Ebay, almost exclusively for new stuff because of the product reviews which you don't get with the Ebay feedback system. I find them very very useful. We recently bought a new vacuum cleaner via Amazon and, as per the few hundred 5 star reviews, it is very good. Also worth noting, the Amazon returns system, should you ever need it, is first class. They even send a courier to your door to pick up the item.
