It wouldnt be the key that broke rather your fingers at 28-30 ft-lb

Clean hole with scriber or mini driver first & drive the hex tool fully straight in with a tap from hammer...
Then they will ALL come out even those with moderately damaged heads. Just keep tool dead straight by rotating shaft for access.

If you can't get 12 point then hex will be fine. I just like to standardise.

STMT says bolts that come with new joints thesr days are butter and cheese at best. Think he's right...
Trick to stopping front inners coming undone in convoy (as so often happens) is IMHO cleanliness of mating faces and using the Nico? serrated washers. If missing get some from BW too!
And do them up in stages...

I found the sockets on mine were a bit sloppy with a 6mm key. The ones that I messed up came out when I reversed the 6mm bit I was using. It was the kind of bit that fits in those screwdrivers etc with loads of different bits. The shank measures 6.5mm. I hammered that in and turned the 6 mm end with a 6 mm socket. Mighty relieved.
