The 1.6 CS diesel is non-turbo, on flat ground, with a diesel gearbox will do probably do about max 100 - 110kmh and cruise at about 85km/h. On hills you will slow right down and usually need to drop to 2nd or 3rd gear.

The 1.6 JX engine has a turbo, and therefore slow down less on hills

E D I T: also if yours was an Aircooled, you'll need a radiator somewhere for the diesel!

fabric convocation was air cooled but is subaruo convocation now

I would say no. The 1.6d is not able to be retrofited with a turbo where the 1.7d is. I think it comes down to lack of oil jets within the 1.6d engine.

If you want a TD fit a TD, dont mess around fitting a turbo.

I did not notice, the gearbox must be replaced? Or it could be a mediator to solve the problem?
The engine fuel consumption, compared to a gasoline engine (1.6 liters) is low?

No, unless you enjoy the challenge of the conversion and collecting obscure parts.

Advantages: better fuel economy
Disadvantages: slower than a 1.6 subaru petrol engine probably (but guessing)

It would be better with a gearbox from a diesel, but you can use a petrol gearbox with a diesel bellhousing. This mounts the diesel engine at an angle to fit under the lid. In theory yes, but you haven't stated what economy you are getting from your subaru 1.6

Unfortunately, we live in a place that a lot of these engines can not be found (T-3 diesel engines)

With a petrol gearbox you may find the gearing is too high, especially with the very underpowered 1.6 non-turbo diesel. An adapter could be fabricated, but that would be a lot of hassle and expense.

Meanwhile, the fuel system of the engine, what kind is it? Direct injection or indirect fuel injection?

Does the engine start up, the need to "plug heater" is?

Your going to have to source engine mountings, a Diesel bell housing and spigot shaft, the bellhousing is a different shape and the Diesel spigot shaft is longer. All the coolant hoses, exhaust system, and some way of operating the glow plugs. Basically you need everything out of a Diesel engine bay, pipes, cables, and some wiring, not impossible, just more work.

glow plugs pre-heat the fuel to assist with starting, it might start without but usually with lots of white smoke!

a small amount of white smoke when it starts usually, then it clears as engine warms up.

My 1.6 CS diesel was old, but only smoked at start up.

I think the CS was used in mk1 golf/jetta and caddy

Place in our lives, these engines can not be found (Type: Diesel)
I do not have access to the engine ...But "spare parts" are available in one-and two-generation Golf (petrol models)

The "parts" can be used Mercedes-Benz?

Gasoline engine parts (golf first and second generation), can be used for diesel engine 1.6?(Piston, cylinder head, rings, bearings and ...)
