thanks for the replies, on the underside there is zilch rust so its really only those holes in that area that is rusty/holed.

its not as severe as Wychall rust.

still needs to be sorted out...whats wrong with some gaffer tape !

so what are my choices ?

Filler a big no no

cut and weld ?

hello !!! i have given you some options what more do you want, 200 members to agree :rofl and as for the rust, well untill you cut that bit away you wont know for certain ,wont be as bad as above but..............

There's lot of filler covering over rust in the bottom panels hiding things under the camouflage of black paint. You have been advised. Perhaps an MOT will give you a clearer picture of the extent of the problems!

Other than fitting a new repair panel, its either filler and paint or a patch welded over. Both will get you through a MOT... neither of those last two opens are good long term. But it depends whether you just want it to keep passing MOT's by the minimum requirements, or fix it properly..

I agree with you 100% mm I was joking about what to do!
It's obvious what has to be done will get some quotes as I obviously want it done properly cut and weld which should last a few years!
